AIGA - Student Chapter

Our student chapter AIGA has officially launched this past week with a long list of participants.
I have joined the ranks as Vice President.

On the horizon is the deadline for the AIGA postcard contest of "What's Your Cause?"
Ending November 9th, with a gallery showing on the 19th. Postcards will be printed live on Graphic's West digital press.

For my cause I have chosen the "generic," topic of Peace, although I am hoping that the message is unique enough to stop people in their tracks to really make them think and be absorbed in the message. Below is a rough draft presented in a class for an assignment, the final will be done later this week.

Possibly My Favorite Design This Year

During my internship at The Drink Ink company, I had a great opportunity presented to me.
To Design an Energy Drink label for the Dallas Cowboys.
If the proposal of the label goes well, there is an opportunity for The Drink Ink company to work with the Pepsi Company.
I designed both the regular Energy Drink label for the can, as well as the Sugar Free version.

Sugar Free

All aspects of this Design are property and copyright of: The Drink Ink, the Dallas Cowboys, and Danielle Robbins.

An Oil Painting in the Rough

During the beginning of August I was approached by a client looking for a traditional oil painting as a house warming gift for a friend. For this project he asked for a wrap around, 3x4 ft portrait of the host.

The client was very pleased with the results, and the host thoroughly enjoyed her portrait. This was a great experience for me, as there have been few opportunities for fine art projects.

Hello, My name is Danielle Robbins

Look around you, virtually everything you see has been touched and designed by a graphics artist. Whether it be a billboard, the cover of a book, or a package of cookies. Graphic Design is a broad and fascinating field of design that I am proud to be a part of.

As a Graphic Designer, we are expected to be as multi talented as the term itself, and to be successful I have made no exception to be versatile as an artist.

I bring modern and traditional arts and mediums to the market. I understand when I create a design who it is I am trying to reach as my audience. To evoke emotions, and calls to action are among the top goals of any design.

Whether it be creating a magazine, establishing a website, designing a product package, or even an oil painting, I take great pride in my work to exceed client and design expectations.

Thank you for taking the time to be a part of my experience, and please enjoy my work.
